TORONTO — The audience numbers are in, and CBC/Radio-Canada says almost two-thirds of Canadians tuned into its Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games coverage from July 10 to 26. Overall, more than 22 million Canadians, or 63% of the population, watched at least some part of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Pan Am Games coverage.

TORONTO – As the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games moves into its final week, CBC-TV is boosting its daily coverage starting Monday, the second time it has pushed aside regular programming to show live and extended packages of the sporting event.
The broadcaster confirmed that an extra hour will be added during the weekdays, on top of the already expanded network coverage announced last week just after the games began. That boosts weekday coverage to seven hours a day, up from the scheduled five hours, plus the added weekend coverage.

OTTAWA – Bell Mobility has lost another bid to overturn a ruling holding it liable for charging customers in the northern territories a 911 fee without actually offering the emergency-call service.
According to a Canadian Press report, the Supreme Court of Canada refused to hear the company's challenge of a Northwest Territories Court of Appeal ruling. A trial judge had previously ruled that Bell Mobility had breached its contractual obligations, a decision that was upheld by the appeal court.
