TORONTO – CBC is partnering with global media company Fullscreen in an effort to help Canadian content creators reach new audiences across the country through CBC, YouTube, and other distribution platforms.
The CBC|Fullscreen Creator Network will give CBC access to more than 2000 Canadian-based content creators in all genres currently working with Fullscreen. The partnership will also extend CBC’s audience reach, national footprint and sales opportunities with Fullscreen’s expertise in developing and supporting digital content creators to build a creator network in the Canadian marketplace.
“This new partnership will allow CBC to deepen its leading digital relationship with audiences by supporting this emerging group of Canadian YouTube stars,” said CBC English Services EVP Heather Conway, in the news release. “We’re excited to bring this new opportunity to brands that are looking to authentically connect with Canadians at scale. Fullscreen is the ideal partner for CBC to help enable our digital strategy and continue to deliver on our mandate for all Canadians.”
With scalable sponsorship opportunities for advertisers to build their brands, the CBC|Fullscreen Creator Network will assist both advertisers and creators to reach their mutual objectives through strategically-aligned production of original branded video content across multiple programming genres, brand amplification in social networks and more, continues the release.
