MONTREAL – Quebecor president and CEO Pierre Karl Péladeau (above, left) announced today the company has donated $1 million to the Autiste & Majeur Foundation to help support adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The donation will help the foundation develop day centres in Quebec specifically for autistic adults. While autistic adults need an environment adapted to their needs, most facilities combine services for people with ASD with services for those with physical or intellectual disabilities, a Quebecor press release says.

MONTREAL – Quebecor today reported its third quarter financial results, which show its revenues were up 3% from the same quarter in 2020 to $1.2 billion and adjusted EBITDA increased 1% to $520.3 million.
Quebecor reported an increase in revenue in its media segment from $157.2 million in Q3 2020 to $190.6 million in Q3 2021. Adjusted EBITDA for the segment increased from $24.9 million to $36.6 million.

MONTREAL – TVA Group Inc. announced today its operating revenues increased $31.2 million in the third quarter of 2021 to $150.7 million, compared to the same quarter last year.
The company, which is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media, reported a consolidated adjusted EBITDA of $35.5 million, a $12.1 million favourable variance from Q3 2020.
TVA’s broadcasting segment reported a consolidated adjusted EBITDA of $21.5 million, a $4.6 million favourable variance. TVA Sports reported an increase in adjusted EBITDA, which was partially offset by a decrease at TVA Network, according to a company press release.

Groupe TVA is asking the country’s highest court to review a case in which it was forced to provide Bell customers its sports signal after it abruptly terminated service in April 2019.

TORONTO – Telus Corp. has lost one step in its Federal Court case to stop Quebecor’s Videotron from getting its hands on 3.5 GHz spectrum licenses in western Canada.
