TORONTO — CBC announced today it will offer a full lineup of Canada Day programming across its TV, radio and digital platforms, “showcasing voices, music and perspectives from communities from coast-to-coast-to-coast,” according to a press release.

OTTAWA — On July 1, the IEEE, the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and the Canadian National Committee of the International Union of Radio Science (CNC-URSI) will partner with Bell Canada, Telus and SaskTel to recognize the history and legacy of the Trans-Canada Microwave System, which officially opened on July 1, 1958.

TORONTO — CBC and Wolf + Rabbit Entertainment announced today principal photography has begun on the seventh season of original hit comedy series Workin’ Moms.
This will be the show’s final season, according to series creator and executive producer Catherine Reitman (Black-ish, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), who also stars in the lead role of Kate Foster.

TORONTO — Canada’s public broadcaster CBC and The Corporation of Massey Hall & Roy Thomson Hall announced today a new five-year partnership that includes CBC being named as the official media partner of newly renovated Massey Hall and Allied Music Centre in Toronto.
As part of their partnership, the two Canadian cultural institutions “will develop new programming initiatives to amplify emerging and established homegrown musical talent,” says a press release.

BANFF – CBC, BIPOC TV & Film and the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) announced yesterday they have partnered on a new accelerator program, the CBC-BIPOC TV & Film Showrunner Catalyst, with the inaugural year running through summer and fall 2022.
