CBC and Lark Productions announced Monday the third season of award-winning CBC original drama Allegiance is currently shooting in-studio and on-location in and around B.C.’s Lower Mainland through Nov. 6.
Set in Surrey, B.C., the acclaimed police drama stars Supinder Wraich as police officer Sabrina Sohal, Enrico Colantoni as staff sergeant Vincent Brambilla, and Samer Salem as detective Zak Kalaini. Other series regulars returning for Season 3 include Stephen Lobo, Adolyn Dar, David Cubitt, Toby Levins, Melanie Papalia, Andres Joseph and Carmen Moore. The 10-episode third season is slated to premiere on CBC in winter 2026.

Indigenous broadcaster APTN announced Tuesday the premiere dates for its fall programming, which includes returning favourites and the Canadian linear TV premiere of FX’s comedy series Reservation Dogs.
Heartfelt series returning this autumn include Wild Rose Vets (Season 2), which premieres on APTN in English on Sept. 1 and on the APTN Languages channel in Cree on Sept. 3, with same-day streaming on APTN lumi. Parliament established the CRTC in 1968 to implement a new Broadcasting Policy for Canada and added telecommunications to its responsibilities in 1975. WildBrain has lost another undue preference case against a broadcaster it alleged was giving a leg up to its main competitor in the children’s programming space.
The CRTC on Thursday denied the Toronto-based media company’s September application to find Rogers was preferencing Corus’s services – Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Nickelodeon – and those from Disney+ over its own by the way it marketed the services.

The CRTC on Wednesday granted Cabin Radio an FM licence to serve Yellowknife and the surrounding areas, ending a long battle with a regulator that once said the market could not sustain another commercial station.
Cabin Radio’s licence to operate at 93.9 MHz will expire on August 31, 2031. It will have 24 months to launch.

Corus is preparing to pull the plug on a handful of children’s services come September 1, Cartt has learned, amid the company’s pursuit to cut down on costs and as the CRTC weighs what to do about such at-risk programming.
