Rogers offering free preview of Corus’ ABC Spark

TORONTO – Rogers viewers can now preview ABC Spark, the “millennial” network that was launched last March by Corus Entertainment. The preview will enable viewers to sample hit series such as Switched at Birth, Bunheads, and The Lying Game until February 4. Canadians think they’re tech savvy, but fall short when tested – Rogers

TORONTO – Canadians may be among the world’s highest adopters of technology, but a recent survey reveals they often think they know more than they actually do. According to the survey, 60% of Canadians gave themselves a 'B' grade or higher for tech savviness. When put to the test, only 4% achieved a 'B' grade. The survey, conducted for Rogers Communications, finds that almost half couldn't answer questions about roaming, and two out of three couldn't correctly answer questions about data usage or online security. Sandvine reports strong Q4 results as stock soars; adds O’Carroll to board

WATERLOO- Sandvine has reported revenues of $27.5 million U.S. in its fourth quarter, up 31% from the same period a year earlier. The company’s shares jumped 9.6% on Thursday closing at $1.70. Sandvine attributes its success in part to the development of solutions that enable ISPs to create new methods of charging for increased bandwidth usage. Citytv expands to Montreal with approval of CJNT rebranding (corrected)

OTTAWA-GATINEAU – Rogers Broadcasting’s “optimal solution” has prevailed with the CRTC approving its plan to rebrand Metro 14 (CJNT-TV) as Citytv Montreal. The Commission also approved a new multilingual television station to be called International Channel/Canal International (ICI) and operated by the Nowrouzzahrai family.
