Sirius hits half a million in Canada

TORONTO – Sirius Canada said today it has surpassed the 500,000 subscriber mark. The company also says it leads industry with 82 per cent retail market share year-to-date and has more than 100,000 vehicles with factory-installed Sirius radios built since January 2007. The company has added more than 200,000 since February of this year. Digital Television Technology Group meets tomorrow

OTTAWA – A new group called the Digital Television Technology Group (DTV-TG) has been formed to collaborate on technical and operational issues surrounding the roll-out of digital television in Canada. Its formation follows the dismantling of Canadian Digital Television Inc. (CDTV), headed by Michael McEwen, in August 2006. The inaugural meeting of the new group was held just three months later.
