Sirius hits half a million in Canada

TORONTO – Sirius Canada said today it has surpassed the 500,000 subscriber mark. The company also says it leads industry with 82 per cent retail market share year-to-date and has more than 100,000 vehicles with factory-installed Sirius radios built since January 2007. The company has added more than 200,000 since February of this year. "Canadians have chosen SIRIUS as their satellite radio provider of choice and have adopted it faster than cable, wireless or satellite television technology," said Mark Redmond, president and CEO.
