TORONTO – Wind Mobile has upped the number of its retail outlets to 200 after expanding its partnership with Blockbuster.
The new ‘Take Out’ feature in Blockbuster stores in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver allows customers to purchase a Wind phone and then activate it in the comfort of their own homes. Services available include three unlimited voice and text plans and data options.
“We’ve been delighted with our partnership with Blockbuster Canada to date and we’re building on our success on reaching out to Canadians directly in the communities in which they live, shop and play,” said Melissa Clark, VP sales and distribution, in a statement. “We’ve selected Blockbuster in high-traffic locations within our coverage areas to deliver on our promise of simplicity and control for our customers.”
Wind also has extended its ‘Everybody Winds’ offer until June 30, which gives new customers 50% off any voice plan for the first six months, and all customers – both existing and new – one month of free plan fees for every new customer they sign up (up to a maximum of six).
