TekSavvy completes fibre network build in Thamesville

CHATHAM, Ont. — Independent ISP TekSavvy Solutions Inc. announced today the completion of its high-speed fibre-to-the-home network in Thamesville, located in Chatham-Kent, Ont.

Capable of delivering Internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, TekSavvy’s Fibre service initially launched in Thamesville last August. It is now available to more than 530 homes and businesses in the community, explains a press release.

“High-speed fibre internet service is a game-changer for Thamesville,” Charlie Burns, chief technology officer at TekSavvy, said in the release. “We’re proud to deliver the connectivity that will make a difference to the community.”

“The community of Thamesville plays a significant role in East Kent,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff. “It is important that its residents have the opportunity to experience the advantages of access to a high-speed fibre network.”

All TekSavvy Fibre plans come with unlimited bandwidth and no term commitments are required. However, if residential customers choose to sign up for TekSavvy’s Fibre 1000 Unlimited package for a 24-month term commitment, they will receive a $20 monthly bill credit for the first 12 months, the release says.
