VANCOUVER – Several more cities and towns in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario now have access to Telus’ 5G network, the company announced today.
In B.C., Telus has expanded its 5G network to Victoria, Port Moody, Maple Ridge, New Westminster and Pitt Meadows. The Alberta communities of Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park and neighbouring areas in Strathcona County now have access to Telus’ 5G network. CANADA’S BIG THREE wireless operators are providing superior data speeds to their customers, better than any other operators in the world, according to the most recent wireless performance research done by Opensignal.

OTTAWA – Telus announced today it is donating 13,000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies and a reusable face mask as part of its annual Kits for Kids program.
Since 2006, the company has distributed over 163,000 such kits nationwide to local schools to support students in need.
Each kit includes a backpack, lined paper, exercise books, a pencil case, colouring pencils, pencils, pens, erasers, a ruler, and a Telus Wise insert with helpful tips and resources for how to be safe online. VANCOUVER – A British Columbia court has dismissed an injunction application filed by Telus over Shaw’s promotion of its new Fibre+ internet product launched earlier this year.
In a September 11 ruling made public this week, the B.C. Supreme Court said it is unconvinced by Telus’ argument that the average customer would care about the differences between Shaw’s hybrid fibre-coaxial cable network and Telus’ fibre to the home technology when deciding on a broadband provider.
