CALGARY – Western Hockey League games will continue to be shown on Shaw Television for the next three years.
The channel will air at least 24 regular season games across Western Canada this year and as many playoff games as possible.

CALGARY – The Shaw Rocket Fund is calling for entries to its $50,000 prize for the best independently produced Canadian youth or family program.
The juried prize celebrates the best in programs aimed at youth 13 to 17 years, as well as programs targeted at families. Shows of any genre, format, and length are welcome to apply.

CALGARY – Shaw Communications has announced faster upload and download speeds for its High-Speed Lite service, making it up to 10 times faster than traditional dial-up.
Its download speed has doubled from 128 Kbps to 256 Kbps. The upgrade will be automatic and free to all High-Speed Lite customers. Shaw is also offering the service for $19.95 a month for the first six months, for a limited time.

SASKATOON – Shaw Cable’s community channel in Saskatoon is boosting its morning presence, perhaps to better compete with other BDUs like SaskTel’s Max TV.
Shaw TV Channel 10 will air local weather information updated every 10 minutes from Environment Canada.
