Campaign urges Canadian women to make time for Lifetime

CBC, Sportsnet team up on FIFA soccer coverage

TORONTO – CBC has finalized a sub-licensing agreement with Sportsnet for upcoming international soccer events including the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. The deal, which will see Sportsnet carry matches of the competitions for which CBC holds Canadian broadcast rights under its agreement with FIFA, also makes Sportsnet a licensed broadcaster of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. NFB pitches in on Telefilm’s theatrical documentary program

MONTREAL – Telefilm Canada and the Rogers Group of Funds are partnering with the National Film Board of Canada to underwrite the Theatrical Documentary Program. By providing financing for feature-length documentary projects during their production and post-production stages, the program aims to increase audiences for Canadian feature films through the production of high-calibre documentaries for theatrical distribution. Competition Bureau v. Rogers continues Tuesday

TORONTO – An ad campaign for the low-cost Rogers Wireless brand chatr is at the heart of a court case which will face the Ontario Superior Court of Justice tomorrow. In November 2010, a Competition Bureau investigation concluded that Rogers misled consumers through its advertisements for the chatr discount cell phone and text service. The complaint was brought forward by competitor Mobilicity (as we reported here).
