WINNIPEG – Just a day after resigning from Power 97 after a three-year run, Winnipeg radio personalities Dave Wheeler, Phil Aubrey and Rena Jae have found a new home at Rogers Radio station 92 CITI FM.
"Unfortunately we couldn't come to contractual terms with Corus Entertainment and Rena, Philly and I are no longer employed with Corus," Wheeler told the Winnipeg Free Press.
The timing for Rogers however could not be better as the BBM Canada’s fall radio survey is now underway.
“As Winnipeg’s highest rated rock morning show, securing the on-air team of team of Dave Wheeler, Phil Aubrey and Rena Jae will take one of Canada’s pioneer rock radio stations to the next level in this competitive market,” said Scott Armstrong, General Manager and Program Director, 92 CITI FM.

Wheeler in the Morning with Philly and Rena will replace the Tom & Joe morning show on 92 CITI FM with Tom McGouran and Joe Aiello.
Aiello will continue to wake up Winnipeg radio listeners on a new weekday morning show alongside on-air personality Kerri Salki on sister station 102.3 CLEAR FM. Aiello is well-known to Winnipegers, volunteering his time to numerous charities in the community. This move sees Salki’s current co-host Jay Oliver departing the station.
“We thank Tom and Jay for their dedication and significant contributions to CITI and CLEAR FM, and wish them all the best,” said Armstrong.
Details and premiere dates of the new morning shows on 92 CITI FM and 102.3 CLEAR FM will be announced in the coming weeks.
