CMF funding triggered $1.5B in production activity, annual report shows

TORONTO – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) announced today it released its 2020-2021 annual report, which shows its funding triggered $1.5 billion in production activity. “Every $1 of CMF funding generated $4.29 in production activity, slightly higher than last year’s $4.12, despite historic challenges as a result of the global pandemic,” a press release says. The CMF fosters, develops, finances and promotes Canadian content production. SYDNEY, NS – Rogers Communications will acquire Seaside Communications, a local telecommunications company based in Sydney, Nova Scotia, the companies announced today.
