TORONTO — CBC announced Tuesday the worldwide release of the new Hunting Warhead true crime podcast series, an international co-production between CBC Podcasts and Norway’s Verdens Gang (VG) newspaper.
Consisting of six 45-minute episodes, the series amplifies outstanding original journalism by VG, layered with rich audio storytelling and in-depth interviews from CBC Podcasts, plus archival interviews and input from Australia’s ABC Audio Studios, CBC said in a news release.

OTTAWA — It was 80 years ago today that CBC Radio listeners first heard the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) time signal, which thereafter becoming a daily feature of CBC’s afternoon radio broadcast.

MONTREAL — CBC/Radio-Canada announced Wednesday that Donald Lizotte will be taking over the role of general manager and chief revenue officer of CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions, after last week’s announcement that Jean Mongeau is leaving the position, effective February 24, 2020.
In his new role, Lizotte will oversee all teams associated with CBC/Radio-Canada’s self-generated revenue, including the advertising, distribution and content-licensing streams, CBC/Radio-Canada said in a news release.

VANCOUVER – TV maker Thunderbird Entertainment Group this week reported consolidated revenue for the three months and year ended June 30, 2019 of $13.7 million and $61.5 million, respectively.
