TORONTO – Canada’s two audio entertainment companies have both launched satellite radio apps for Android-powered smart phones.
The free Sirius App allows subscribers with Android users to stream more than 100 channels of Sirius Satellite Radio’s news, sports, entertainment and commercial-free music content over cellular and WiFi networks. Customers with Android-powered smart phones who are not yet Sirius subscribers can sign up for a free 14-day trial.
The XM Canada Android application offers users an easy way to select favourite XM stations on-the-go, turning mobile devices into one-stop entertainment and information devices. By downloading the free App to compatible models, users will enjoy 100 channels of its commercial-free music, plus sports, comedy, news and entertainment. Users can also sign-up for a free 14-day on-line trial of its XM online+ service to preview XM’s programming.
