MONTREAL — Quebecor and its TVA Group subsidiary will hold their annual general meetings virtually next month, in keeping with restrictions implemented by the federal and Quebec governments in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and out of concern for the well-being of all participants, the company announced Monday.

Shareholders are asked to follow the AGMs online via video webcast, as they will not be able to physically attend the meetings. TVA Group’s AGM is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. (ET), and Quebecor’s will be held on Thursday, May 14 at 9:30 a.m. (ET).

In addition, Quebecor and TVA Group are encouraging shareholders to vote in advance of the meetings by proxy by 5:00 p.m. (ET) on Friday, May 8. More information about the voting procedures and how to attend the virtual AGMs can be found here for Quebecor and here for TVA Group.

Last week, Rogers Communications also held its annual general meeting in a virtual format, being the first Canadian telecom company to release quarterly results that partly reflect the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
