Telus GenAI customer support tool achieves privacy by design certification

Telus announced Tuesday its generative AI (GenAI) customer support tool is the first in the world to achieve the International Organization for Standardization’s ISO 31700-1 Privacy by Design certification. The Telus.com GenAI support tool is powered by Fuel iX, an enterprise-grade AI engine provided by Telus International. Telus announced Tuesday it will invest more than $24 billion to expand and enhance its network infrastructure and operations across Ontario over the next five years, as part of its larger commitment to invest $73 billion across Canada by 2028. Telus said Thursday it launched a program offering free smartphones and data plans to indigenous women at risk of, or surviving, violence in Quebec. The percentage of telecom and TV service providers who are compliant with the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services (CCTS) rules for providing information about the CCTS on their websites has increased over the last few years, according to the organization’s 2023 Compliance Report Cards, published early Thursday morning. Relatively stable wireless churn ‘encouraging,’ say Quebecor executives
