Out and Hard relaunch in Quebec


QUEBEC – OUTtv and HARDtv, Canada’s first gay TV channels will be expanding throughout Quebec in Videotron markets through Illico Digital TV, the channels announced this week.

Out will be introduced to Quebec, Quebec North, La Malbaie and St-Siméon on February 28, 2007 and will be on free preview for three months. OUTtv is currently in Grand Montreal, Sorel, Gatineau, Rockland, Riviere-du-Loup, Saguenay, St-Felicien, Mont-Laurier, and Maniwaki.

HARDtv (a porn channel) will also become available in Quebec North and St-Siméon on February 28, 2007 for $9.99 "half the price of the competition," says the company’s press release. HARDtv is currently available in Quebec, Grand Montreal, Sorel, Gatineau, Rockland, Riviere-du-Loup, Saguenay, St-Felicien, Sherbrooke, Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Victoriaville, Granby, Mont-Laurier, Maniwaki and La Malbaie.

OUTtv is an English digital specialty network providing programming of interest to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (“GLBT”) community and GLBT-positive viewers across Canada. Originally launched two owners ago in September 2001 as Pridevision, it is the world’s first GLBT network to broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week. OUTtv currently has over 300,000 subscribers across Canada.

HARDtv delivers gay adult movies and also offers Boyscondo TV Live – a live, interactive, adult male Internet voyeur show which will be launching March 1, 2007 on the network Thursdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays at 9 p.m. Viewers will be able to interact with models in a studio on screen and watch as they interact with them.
