New frequency, new format

HALIFAX – CHUM Radio announced Thursday that 92 CJCH AM in Halifax will be moving to 101.3 on the FM dial.

The latest evolution of the station begins at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning, with the station taking on a new format, too. Additional details of the new format will be announced Friday.

As a result of the changes, the station will no longer be airing oldies music or the call-in talk show Hotline.

“This is an exciting time for the station and we want to take this opportunity to thank 92 CJCH AM listeners for their support over the years,” said Trent McGrath, acting general manager CHUM Radio Halifax. “We’d also like to salute the Hotline program for its longstanding service to this community. It is always hard to say goodbye, but now is the time to focus on the long-term success of this station.”

CHUM Radio is a division of CTVglobemedia.
