Feds investing additional $10.3M to connect over 1,000 Indigenous homes in Labrador

NAIN, NL – The Government of Canada announced Tuesday it is adding $10.3 million to its funding commitment for a broadband project to bring high-speed internet to more than 1,000 Indigenous households in rural Labrador. The federal government and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador previously announced in March 2022 more than $22 million in funding for the high-speed internet access project, which will benefit the communities of Hopedale, Makkovik, Nain, Natuashish, Postville and Rigolet.
