Cord-Cutting: Real or Baloney?

WATCH CARTT.CA INVESTIGATES tomorrow as we continue our examination of the so-called cord-cutting phenomenon.

The anectdotal evidence is everywhere and media outlets like the Globe and Mail are even highlighting what it might be like for Canadians to toss out their cable boxes or tear down their satellite dishes.

But what are they replacing them with? Besides off-air TV, those consumers are using their broadband connections to help trim their TV bills, turning to platforms like Netflix and devices like the Boxee to keep on watching their favourite shows and movies.

In the next installment of Cartt.ca INVESTIGATES, we have interviewed executives from both of those brands to get a handle on what they think of the shifting media world and the particular challenges of pushing into the Canadian market.
