CommScope seeking to buy Arris: report

TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANUFACTURER COMMSCOPE is in talks with set-top maker Arris over a possible takeover.According to Reuters report, negotiations are on-going and there is no certainty that a deal will be reached. Both companies declined to comment.The deal talks come as the popularity of video online streaming is putting pressure on telecommunications companies to upgrade their infrastructure and consolidate relationships with hardware equipment suppliers, continues the report.
