BlackBerry users get two new satellite radio apps

TORONTO – Canada’s two satellite radio companies both introduced a free app for BlackBerry users on Monday.As Cartt.ca reported last month, the XM online+ Application is an extension to XM Canada’s existing XM online+ service. In addition to offering 100 channels of its programming on-the-go, the app also allows users to turn their smart phones into a one-stop entertainment and information device. The Sirius app allows subscribers with a compatible BlackBerry device to stream more than 100 channels of its programming over cellular and WiFi networks.
