TORONTO – The Bell Sympatico/MSN Music Store opened today.
The service combines the existing Sympatico Music Store with MSN applications like MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and MSN Spaces.
The Sympatico/MSN Music portfolio aims to be a one stop destination for everything music: listen to music, buy the top downloads, watch the latest music videos or see exclusive content like Live at the Orange Lounge, online concerts, artist interviews and get the latest from stars like Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Snow Patrol, Beyonce and others.
One of the enhancements to the Sympatico store is, for example, if a friend shares a playlist using Windows Live Messenger, the friend(s) can click on the songs they want and go straight to the Sympatico/MSN Music Store to purchase and download.
More than 13.5 Million Canadians use MSN or Windows Live Messenger each month, and more than 8 million use MSN Spaces to create personal web pages, say the companies, quoting May 2006 ComScore Media Metrix.
Music downloads start at $0.79 each.
