REGINA, SK – Access Communications Co-operative announced yesterday it has partnered with the Collectors Car Club of Saskatchewan to put on its 14th annual Labour Day Show N Shine in support of the Regina Food Bank.
“A fun event for all ages, the show consistently draws 500 exhibitors and over 5,000 attendees – making it the largest car show in Southern Saskatchewan,” according to a press release.
“We are excited to bring back this Labour Day tradition in support of the Regina Food Bank and its ongoing fight to eliminate food security,” says Jim Deane, CEO of Access Communications, in the press release. Since 2006, Access Communications has raised over $200,000 for the food bank, he added.
CCA Saskatchewan will be the event’s presenting sponsor for the fifth year in a row. The company will set up a Family Fun Zone at the event, which will include “face painting, bike safety booklets, colouring sheets (for the kids), prize draws (for parents), and complimentary cool Nimbus water, served in reusable water bottles,” the press release reads.
The event will run from 12-4 p.m. at the Access Communications Community Park. Admission is $5 per person or $10 per family. Children 12 and under are free. They also welcome donations of non-perishable foods.
