
KINGSTON, Ont. — Corus Radio announced Monday it has hired Hale Speedy (pictured) as the new program manager for its two Kingston radio stations, 96.3 BIG FM and 104.3 Fresh Radio, effective today.
Originally from New Zealand, Speedy moved to Canada in March 2020. Prior to emigrating, he worked for New Zealand radio company MediaWorks as its operations manager and successfully executed programming and promotional strategies for nine network stations as well as coached and managed Wellington’s #1 morning show, says the news release.
Speedy has more than 10 years of experience in radio, both on air and in programming, strategic planning and management roles. For four of the almost 11 years he spent at MediaWorks, he also served as the network music manager, scheduling music for 20 stations within the More FM network.
