Rogers Pro On-the-Go expands to Ottawa

OTTAWA — Rogers announced Monday its personalized mobile retail experience, Rogers Pro On-the-Go, is now available in the nation’s capital.

The service has begun rolling out to Ottawa neighbourhoods and will expand throughout the nation’s capital in the coming weeks, says the news release (please see the Ottawa coverage map).

While Covid-19-related restrictions are starting to ease for businesses in Ontario and Canada’s telecom companies are slowly reopening some stores, the Rogers Pro On-the-Go service will continue to offer contactless phone delivery and remote set-up support, which the company introduced in March.

Customers choose the time and date most convenient for them and a Rogers Pro will deliver the phone and guide them at a safe social distance — over the phone, through video call or even from six feet apart on their front porch — to set up their new device, transfer applications and sync contacts, all based on the customer’s preferences.

In addition to its Pro On-the Go expansion, Rogers has reopened more of its street-front stores in Ottawa with appropriate health and safety measures in place to keep Rogers employees and customers safe during their visits, says the release.

In partnership with Enjoy, the Rogers Pro On-the-Go service originally launched in the Greater Toronto Area in October 2019, and was expanded to Greater Vancouver in March and several locations in Southwestern Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe in April. Rogers plans to expand the service to more Canadian markets this year.
