For engineers who want to learn the basics about PON and its use in fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments, this one-hour interactive and educational webinar conducted by Calix product managers and solutions engineers will help attendees to:
- Understand what PON is, the differences between GPON, EPON, XGS-PON, NG-PON2 and when to deploy them
- Learn ‘what’s next’ for PON, including the network elements and architectures that are used to deploy PON
- Understand how PON is deployed to the home and what’s required in the outside plant to make it happen
