WOODSTOCK – Execulink Telecom said today it will invest in new and improved hybrid-fibre-coax technology across its existing cable areas in Lambton and Middlesex Counties.

As the project is completed over the next 12 months, customers can look forward faster internet speeds and a new TV viewing experience, said the company. It did not announce how much is being invested to do the upgrades.

“The current cable infrastructure in these areas limits our ability to deliver faster internet speeds and a more modern TV experience,” said Ian Stevens, president and CEO, in the press release. “To ensure our customers receive the awesome experience they deserve, we made the decision to upgrade our facilities. We are excited to roll out this change over the next 12 months, and will be starting in November with the Thedford community.”

Thedford is about an hour northwest of London, Ont.

Once complete, customers will get to enjoy new package options boasting internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, unlimited usage and no contracts.

Thedford residents can learn more about the HFC upgrade at Execulink’s upcoming Information Session on October 29th at The Legacy Centre (Thomas Hall) from 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
