TORONTO – Bell Media’s CraveTV will stream the first of its three new original comedy specials on March 9 with the debut of Darcy Michael Goes To Church.

The one-hour special, developed in partnership with Just For Laughs, features homegrown comedy star Darcy Michael (pictured) as he headlines a sermon where no topic, including gay parenting and casual drug use, is too taboo.

The second special, Debra Digiovanni: Here's The Thing, streams in April and features the original cat lady and master of fast-talking comedy, while Graham Chittenden: Reluctant Adult follows in May and showcases Chittenden as he hilariously laments the responsibilities of adult life.

The specials were shot during last fall's JFL42 Festival at Toronto's Berkeley Church.

"We're proud to have created the first homegrown comedy specials produced solely for streaming audiences in Canada," said Bell Media content and programming president Mike Cosentino, in the news release.  "Kudos to our partners at Just For Laughs for helping us deliver first-rate comedy content to our subscribers."
