TORONTO – The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance’s Jennifer Salmon is headed to Harvard in June as this year’s recipient of the CTAM Canada Fellowship Award, also known as CTAM U.
Salmon, pictured, is VP of contracts at the CCSA where she leads a team responsible for the negotiation and administration of all master programming affiliation agreements. She also provides strategic direction and insight to the CCSA board and member companies and is actively involved in industry regulatory proceedings. Prior to joining CCSA, Salmon held various positions at Shaw Communications, most recently as general manager of programming and satellite services, where she was responsible for the negotiations of Shaw’s affiliation agreements and oversaw the operations of Shaw’s satellite uplink and signal distribution businesses.
An active participant in the industry for over 19 years, Salmon currently serves as a board member and secretary of the CTAM Canada board of directors.
CTAM Canada has sponsored a chapter member to attend the prestigious program annually since 2006. Participants are chosen through an application process and selected by a special committee made up of CTAM Canada executives and past attendees. This year’s program takes place in Boston from June 7-12, 2015 and will include senior executives within the North American cable and broadcast industry.
"On behalf of CTAM Canada, I would like to congratulate Jennifer on being selected to attend this distinguished program”, said CTAM Canada president Gary Pelletier, in the announcement. "This unique opportunity is offered annually to one member of CTAM Canada. Having had the opportunity to attend CTAM-U myself in 2007, I know that Jennifer will gain many insights from spending a week with this elite group of industry peers”.
