
TORONTO – Mobile sports company theScore set a new user record in January after 5.1 million sports fans used its mobile platforms to stay on top of the real-time news, scores and stats from their favorite leagues, teams and players.
According to the latest monthly mobile active user figures, that number is a 42% jump over the same period in 2013. User engagement also soared in January, with user sessions climbing 93% year-over-year, to 161 million. theScore is available on iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone devices.
"Passing five million monthly active users and seeing such enormous growth in user engagement is testament to the hard work of our team in creating a truly comprehensive and personalized experience for sports fans on mobile devices," said chairman and CEO John Levy, in the news release.
