TORONTO – Global TV is looking for workplace glee clubs in Canada interested in battling it out a new Canadian reality series called Canada Sings! (working title).
From now through September 22, Global has opened its virtual casting doors at www.GlobalTV.com in a hunt for “dynamic everyday people with extraordinary talent”. The series will focus on finding talent on the job, encouraging participants to form glee clubs with their workmates, and then go head-to-head against another team.
"Canada Sings! is an opportunity to unveil the hidden performer that exists within each of us," said Christine Shipton, SVP, drama and factual content for CanWest Broadcasting, in the announcement. "We’re calling out to these talented voices simmering within the workplace to come forward and show us what they’ve got."
The series will premiere on Global TV in early 2011, and be produced for CanWest Broadcasting by Insight Productions. Upcoming announcements including show host, judging panel and celebrity judges will be announced closer to the broadcast date.
