ColbaNet launches VDSL2 Internet access

MONTREAL – ColbaNet says that they’re the first Internet service provider to offer a VDSL2 Internet access to businesses.

The company, which provides Internet, telephony and web hosting to several thousand corporate and residential clients, said that its new VDSL2 service can reach speeds of 100 Mbps upload and of 60 Mbps download, speeds previously exclusive to the fibre optic world.

"ColbaNet pursues its strategy by deploying its own VDSL2 equipment in Bell Canada’s central offices”, said president Joseph Bassili, in the press release. “ColbaNet’s strategy aims to exploit Internet’s power by offering its clients the best solutions using the IP protocol. We are very proud to cross this important step in our company’s history, all the while offering incredibly fast speeds to SMBs (small to medium businesses) for a fraction of the price of regular fibre optic connections.”
