NBA and Bell sign

TORONTO and NEW YORK – Bell Canada and the National Basketball Association announced today they will deliver daily NBA video highlights and other personalized content via the Sympatico/MSN web portal and Bell Mobility mobile phones.

This marks the first time Bell customers in Canada will have the ability to view such content using broadband and mobile phones. The non-exclusive relationship also represents the first such digital content agreement that the NBA has entered into with a Canadian company, says the press release.

NBA fans can access the Sympatico/MSN portal at www.sports.sympatico.msn.ca for select daily video highlights of NBA games during the regular season and weekly video of the top 10 plays. In addition, Bell Mobility clients will be able to access video highlights of post-season games, NBA team, league and player wallpaper, and receive text alerts of breaking NBA news.

"Providing our fans with access to NBA action across digital platforms is essential as our worldwide popularity continues to grow,” said Attila Gazdag, NBA senior vice-president, global media distribution. “Teaming with Bell will give NBA fans across Canada the ability to connect with their favourite teams and players on their personal computers or on the go.”

“Working with the NBA to deliver personalized sports content is just another way Bell is adding value to its expanding line-up of digital entertainment, including video, news, sports, entertainment, music and games,” added Kevin Crull, president, Bell Residential Services.
