PETERBOROUGH – Wired and wireless equipment maker Lindsay Broadband announced today a new strategic development and sales partnership with Cube Optics, a global provider of engineered optical components and access network solutions.
Lindsay Broadband will incorporate Cube Optics micro CWDM modules into their FLEeX LM carrier class, integrated, last mile architectural product family for commercial services delivery, says the company’s release. Lindsay will now offer a complete family of NEBS level 3 and ITU-T G.694.2 compliant, passive CWDM systems (MUX, DEMUX and OADMs) packaged to fit in rack mounted chassis (for Head End or outdoor pedestal applications), or packaged in splice trays that fit the most popular Fiber Optic Splice Closures (for Outdoor applications in existing FOSCs).
“The new solution provides a breakthrough combination of affordability, flexibility, and performance, giving cable operators the ability to offer commercial data, voice, and wavelength services over their existing deep fiber HFC infrastructure,” reads the release.
“For cable operators with deep fiber HFC networks, the solution enables greatly expanded capacity of existing physical fiber assets.”
“There is a large movement within the cable industry to expand the capacity of existing HFC infrastructure for the delivery of broadband services to the enterprise customer,” said Dave Atman, president of Lindsay Broadband. “Cube Optics provides the smallest form factor and most rugged, flexible, carrier class WDM sub-assemblies in the world.”
