WIFT-T’s new BOD


TORONTO – Women in Film and Television – Toronto today announced its 2006 board of directors

New directors elected to the Board are:
Leesa Levinson – Actress and Disabilities Advocate
Gabriella Martinelli – President and CEO, Capri Films
Sara Moore – Senior Vice President, Marketing and Publicity, Alliance Atlantis Broadcasting
Susan Ross – Executive Vice President and General Manager of Specialty Television, Corus Entertainment
Karen King, Production Executive, Original Programming, Drama, CanWest MediaWorks, was re-elected for a second term.

The following Board Members will continue for the 2006 term:
Kirstine Layfield – Executive Director, Network Programming, CBC Television
Wendy MacKeigan – Executive Producer, SK Films Inc., a Shaftesbury Company
Marcia Martin – Vice President Production, CHUM Television
Laura Milliken – President, Big Soul Productions
Margaret O’Brien – Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operating Officer, Barna-Alper Productions Inc.
Cynthia Reyes – Managing Partner, DiversiPro Inc.
Anne Schneerer – Account Manager, TV and Motion Picture Group, National Bank
Dianne Schwalm – Senior Vice President, Theatrical Advertising & Publicity, Warner Bros. Canada Inc.
Jane Tattersall – President, Tattersall Sound and Picture
Sadia Zaman – Executive Director, In-House Production, VisionTV

Stepping down from the board are Kit Redmond, Vice President, RTR Media; Lisa Clarkson, Senior Director, Rights, Business and Content, CBC English Television; Jennifer Harkness, Director of Content, Banff World Television Festival, Achilles Media; and Phyllis Platt, President, Platt Productions.
