LOUISVILLE, Colo. – CableLabs promoted So Vang to vice-president, advanced media platforms and P. Margit Tritt, to director, OpenCable hardware specifications and test development, this week.
Both are in CableLabs Advanced Platforms and Services (APS) department. Vang has worked at CableLabs for more than seven years, previously was director, OpenCable Software. In his new capacity, he will expand his strategic role and will take on additional management responsibilities within the APS Group. Before joining CableLabs, Vang was a senior analyst for Thomson Consumer Electronics.
Previously, Tritt had been project director, OpenCable Requirements, with responsibilities that involve two-way plug-and-play devices and OpenCable unidirectional receivers. In her new role, she is adding responsibilities for the OpenCable acceptance test plan and test development team. Prior to joining CableLabs two years ago, she was a product manager with ILOG.
