MONTREAL - Quebec’s Télévision Quatre Saisons network (TQS) has confirmed Louis Trépanier as its vice-president of programming, replacing Luc Doyon who resigned in January. Trépanier, who’s been with the network for about eight years, moves up from his position as general manager of programming and will have the mandate to establish TQS’s long-term programming personality. Among his immediate tasks will be to shore up the network’s evening news show “Le Grand Journal”, which TV critics dismissed as “infotainment” when actress Isabelle Maréchal was added to the mix last fall to provide commentary.
