CALGARY – When you just want to get away from it all – and take some of it all with you, namely, your television – Star Choice has a system for you.
The Shaw Communications-owned DTH company today announced a partnership with Explorer Satellite Systems Inc., which will provide RV owners with access to Star Choice’s digital video and audio service, with the added convenience of mobility.
The ExplorerSC2000 mobile satellite system attaches to the rooftop of any RV, and automatically seeks out and locks on to both of Star Choice’s satellites, Anik F1 and F2. This system eliminates the manual process of setting up, and storing, a dish and tripod and provides RV owners a convenient and reliable satellite service.
Just don’t park the rig under any trees.
"We are very excited to provide our customers with a portable solution to enjoy great Star Choice programming anywhere," said Jim Cummins, vice-president national operations for Star Choice. "With Star Choice’s national coverage, customers can enjoy local programming and hometown news wherever their vacation takes them."
Each Explorer satellite system comes with an ExplorerSC2000 antenna, a Star Choice DSR205 satellite receiver, and remote control. In addition, Star Choice customers receive an exclusive $250 discount when they purchase an Explorer Satellite system.
After the discount, the system costs $2,495.
