TORONTO – Wednesday not only marks the opening of the NHL season for Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul, it also marks the start of his new partnership with mobile device company ZTE Canada.
Over the next two years, the left winger and influential style-maker will showcase ZTE smartphones through social media channels, Facebook game day giveaways, marketing programs and personal appearances.
“As someone who demands high performance and with a discerning eye for style, Joffrey Lupul is the perfect partner for ZTE,” said ZTE Canada CEO Denson Xu, in the news release. “We are looking to grow our brand in Canada and Joffrey will certainly help make that happen.”
“Getting involved with a company that appreciates style, value and performance was an easy decision,” added Lupul. “ZTE has a great global brand and I’m happy to be part of growing that brand in Canada.”
The Grand X, ZTE’s first smartphone with a major carrier in Canada, is currently available at Bell and Virgin Mobile. More handsets are slated for release this year and next.
