MONTREAL — Bell Media’s Z announced today it will present a new documentary series next spring featuring professional racing driver Alex Tagliani (above, top left) that explores the world of karting and features several promising young talents.
Tagliani: À toute allure follows Tagliani as he leads the TAG Motorsport kart team during a top-level karting season. The series is comprised of eight 30-minute episodes and is produced by KOTV in collaboration with Bell Media.
“Crazy speed, skin-deep emotions, spectacular accidents and adrenaline are at the heart of this production where riders aged 10 to 15 who want to become the next ‘Tag’ are trying to carve out a place on the podium,” reads an English translation of Bell Media’s press release.
“Whether through the testimonies of young pilots, their families or Alex himself, viewers will have privileged access to a universe where money, jealousy, triumph and disappointment rub shoulders.”
The series will also revisit some of the highlights of Tagliani’s career through testimonials and archival images.
“It is an honor to work with such a professional team as that of KOTV on this project. Since the arrival of the TAG E-Karting center and now with the TV series, it is really a pleasure and pride to be able to do more to promote the sport of karting in Quebec,” says Tagliani, in the English translation.
