YTV.com overhauled, expanded – for kids and clients

TORONTO – Tween and teen network YTV has taken the wrapper off of its revamped web site which is says will provide an immersive online environment for kids as well as enhanced advertising and sponsorship opportunities for its clients.

“Corus is committed to offering compelling, interactive entertainment experiences and extending our brands on all available platforms,” said Lucie Lalumiere, vice-president and general manager, interactive, Corus Television, which owns YTV. “YTV.com has raised the bar on functionality and content, and this is an important first step towards creating deeper brand experiences for both kids and advertisers.”

The site has upped the interactivity quotient with the addition of 12 new online games and YTV.com will refresh its game portfolio with new titles every month. The site’s new media player provides the capability necessary to showcase YTV.com’s high-quality video content – and makes locating and viewing the site’s growing video library as well as an assortment of behind-the-scenes footage, bloopers and previews both quicker and easier for kids.

The improvements offer sponsors and advertisers heightened visibility with users such as branding opportunities in interactive "adver-games" and sponsored streamed video.

“YTV.com is breaking new ground with its clients by creating brand experiences that extend beyond broadcast and straight online ad banners,” added Frank Duyvelshoff, director, business development, Corus Entertainment. “Just as our site users now expect more interactive and engaging experiences with our brand, so too, do our clients expect the opportunity to relay their messages through more interactive advertising opportunities. YTV is pleased to be able to streamline service to both communities through our enhanced website.”
