RESEARCHER MEDIA Technology Monitor says smartphone use among the young continues to grow. It’s latest report from MTM Junior called “Call Me, Maybe” says two-fifths of Canadian kids have their own cell phones and teens are much more likely than are younger kids to own their own wireless phone, with 81% of them having their own device. The majority of kids with phones have devices purchased for them, adds the release, rather than a hand-me-down phone.
