Xplornet to stream new satellite’s launch

MARKHAM, ON – As Xplornet’s new 4G broadband satellite rockets in to space on October 19, the rural broadband provider will stream a live feed on its website.

Xplornet has purchased 100% of the Canadian Ka-band capacity on the satellite, known as ViaSat-1, which it says that it will integral in providing Canadians in remote areas with a fast and affordable broadband connection.  The satellite service is expected to be available to Canadians by late this year.
