WOODSTOCK, NB – Rural broadband provider Xplornet Communications jumped in to the home phone market Tuesday with what it calls a low cost, “feature-rich” service.
For $19.99 per month, Xplornet subscribers will receive 10+ calling features at no extra charge, free unlimited province-wide calling, North American long distance plans for $5, and competitive international rates to over 200 locations.
Xplornet’s home phone service is available now across rural Canada, and customers are not required to sign a contract.
“Our customers have been asking us to take this next step. Too many rural Canadians have to rely on expensive landlines. They want a more affordable home phone service alternative from a provider they already know and trust,” said Xplornet’s EVP marketing Chris Johnston, in the news release. “Rural Canadians who subscribe to Xplornet can now easily switch phone service, keep their current number, conveniently see their services on only one bill, and start saving.”
