Xplornet acquires Hamilton fibre provider Metro Loop

WOODSTOCK, NB — Rural-focused broadband provider Xplornet Communications today announced it is acquiring Ocdotus Inc., a fibre-based service provider in southern Ontario which operates under the name Metro Loop. Headquartered in Hamilton, Ont., Metro Loop provides fibre-to-the-premise services via its fibre network in Hamilton and Haldimand County. Through the acquisition agreement, Xplornet is acquiring all of Metro Loop’s customers and operations. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed in Xplornet’s press release.
