MONTREAL – XM Canada today introduced the broadcasting team for Franc parler, the first French-language all sports and sports talk channel in North America.
Franc parler will provide listeners with a mix of sports news, commentaries and analyses, interviews and feature stories, as well as open-line programs, plus broadcast and play-by-play coverage of all Montreal Canadiens hockey games.
Sports personalities slated for the channel will include an All-Star team featuring former NHLer Benoît Brunet, former Montreal Expo pitcher Derek Aucoin (a Lachine, Que., native), former Montreal Alouette Bruno Heppell and others.
Well-known hosts such as Charles-André Marchand and Jacques Thériault, who has extensively covered the sports arena in the capacity of journalist, host, commentator and analyst, will anchor the morning and late afternoon shows.
